2025 Board of Directors and Elected Political Action Committee Nominations Open

Nominations for the 2025 GABWA Board of Directors and Elected Political Action Committee will open on Monday, September 30, 2024. In advance of the nomination period, please see attached the 2024 General Election Schedule. Please consider nominating qualified candidates and/or self-nominating for leadership positions.
Finally, please note that voting will take place via electronic voting ONLY and will conclude on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. eBallots will automatically be emailed to all regular members in good standing as of the October General Body Meeting**. However, the deadline to request an eBallot is November 14, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
More information will be provided by the Elections Committee upon the commencement of GABWA's election season.

GABWA Elections Committee
Pursuant to GABWA’s Constitution the following prerequisites must be met to be eligible for nomination:
- Anyone seeking a Board of Director position must have been a Regular Member for at least 12 months and served on at least one (1) Committee.
- Nominees for President-Elect or Vice President must have been a Regular Member of GABWA during each of the two (2) years immediately preceding the nomination, and have served on the Board of Directors for a minimum of two (2) terms immediately preceding their nomination.
- Nominees for Treasurer must have served on the Finance Committee for at least one (1) year prior to her election and shall be eligible for bonding.
- The term of office for all elected PAC members shall be for two (2) years commencing on January 1 of each biennial year that a PAC seat is up for election.
Voting will take place (i) via electronic voting ending at 5:00 PM ET on November 21, 2024, (ii) meetings convened by Regional Chapter Vice Presidents, where applicable, and (iii) by paper ballot at the November General Body meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2024, if applicable. Additional details will be circulated regarding the electronic voting process in advance of the electronic voting period.

** As a reminder, to vote in the election, you must be current in your dues by October 17, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
